Tegalalang is village located on the north of Ubud or the way to Kintamani. Driving along this street the visitor will have no doubt they are in Tegalalang because of the abundance in wooden carvings that are displayed along the road. The village of Tegalalang specializes in pumping out carved animals, fruits, flowers, Christmas tree decorations  and other designs that are painted in bright colors. These are designed for the tourist market, not really the antique or quality market. Tegalalang area actually is not a resort area, because most of visitor come here only for business with wholesale and retail price, or they just walk around and have a look.  A visitor might also check out the selection of wall-panels, furniture, antique-style doors, glasses handicraft and topeng masks.

   Further  north of Tegalalang approximately one kilometer will lead the visitor in Ceking. Ceking famous with it’s Rice Terrace View. Ceking rice Terrace is the best rice terrace view in Ubud area. It is very pretty, tidy, clean and fresh air in the early morning. Ceking Rice Terrace offer very beautiful view during replant time with green rice, but still very pretty during harvest time as well to enjoy it. In here the visitor could also find some arts shop, cloths shop, sculptures house and some nice restaurants facing to the rice terrace which is offer Balinese traditional food are located. Good time to visit Ceking Rice Terrace during bit quite time like early morning or late afternoon to avoid traffic jam. Because some time in the afternoon very busy by the visitor with a big buses.

     The whole complex is well swept an well maintained and should be visited in the cool morning or late afternoons when few tourist are about. At the lookout on top of the long, steep stairway, look down upon overwhelming scenery, sunlit waterfalls and palm studded rice terrace plunging to a deep ravine with a rushing river flowing through it all. The holy water of the river was meant to sanctify the site. Carved into niches on two facing cliffs, the somber and unembellished   temples contain no interior chambers , only facades. Built in the late 11th century, the temples are remarkably well preserved. There are 10 temples in all.  Across the gorge is an abandoned hermitage for the keepers of the tombs. All around flows holy water and steep sided walls covered with dripping moss, all of which gives the site an elevated and venerated atmosphere.
